Stephen Slaven founded Slaven Law Firm, LLC in order to provide residents of New Jersey with highly competent litigation services in the areas of Personal Injury, Worker’s Compensation and Criminal Defense. His background makes him uniquely suited to his role as a personal injury and criminal defense lawyer, bringing to the table skills in investigation, management of complex cases, trial and mediation work, and sophisticated litigation strategies.
Prior to launching Slaven Law Firm, LLC, Mr. Slaven handled insurance defense claims, including the defense of personal of injury claims for a major law firm. His legal career began in the criminal justice arena, serving five years as an Assistant Prosecutor in Hudson County, New Jersey where he handled a wide variety of criminal cases from indictment to trial and on through the appellate process in some cases. Prior to his legal career, Mr. Slaven worked as a health insurance investigator, uncovering fraud and recovering fraudulently paid money. His experience handling all aspects of investigations, personal injury cases and criminal prosecutions has forged him into a formidable trial attorney with a strong track record for success.
